School system

I would like to say you something about school system at our university. So, if you want to get to our school, you have to do the entrance exam. That´s not so simple, but the success rate is around 80%. After three years, if you survive, if you do all exams and if you write bachelor thesis you´ll get a bachelor's degree. Then you can decide if you want to continue or finish studies. When you will continue for two more years and again you do all exams, include a state exam and you write a thesis, you´ll get a engineer degree.

I hope, that I helped you just a little bit and excuse me for my bad English.

Dear Czech students,
Thank you for your post about cafeterias near university and some information about Czech Technical University.

We find this information really helpful because we have been looking for a nice and cheap place to eat near university. Moreover, after you post we decided to try studying at NTK.

Actually, I didn't know about "Menza" at all. We will definitely visit it. And as for information about universities, we didn't know University Campus on Dejvice includes University of Chemical Technology as well as CTU and Charles University.

Frankly speaking, we would like to know where we can find Czech student just to talk as we are studying Czech this year and we would like to practice it, if it is possible.

Speaking about English, we would recommend you to follow one style of your writing. We mean you should not mix colloquial words with official ones. You write either in colloquial language or only in official. The second recommendation is to check what you wrote. Try not to make grammatical mistakes.

Hope our letter was helpful.

Looking forward to your answer.
Best regards,

Your international Students

One of the most privileged is Czech Technical univesity situated at Prague 6 - Dejvice where we have gone for 2 years. There are many faculties like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear physics and economics and managmentu etc..  If you want to study at Czech universities, at almost every university you must file an application until the end of February. R U Hungry?

Dear students,

this post is about eating at our university. Many students prefer to eat at our local cafeteria, which is kinda cheaper than normal cafeteria, café, restaurant or buffets located near school. You can buy baguettes, sandwiches, cakes or if you want to do something for yourself you can pick salad, yoghurt and many others. When you feel thirsty, you can buy water, juice, ice tea, hot tea, coffee…To sum up, you can save a lot of money and you don´t need to walk out of university area, because canteen is at school.  For lunch I personally recommend you to visit our „Menza“. It is traditional student’s canteen, which offers soups and main courses and of course - desserts. I have never ate better pudding in my life!

Dear Students,

Welcome to your intercultural student exchange blog!

The goal of this blog is to write information for international students who come to study at Czech universities! What would you like to tell them about your university life and living in the Czech Republic? What are the most important things to know when you move to the Czech Republic? Is there something they should or should not expect? Do you have any recommendations for them? What lifestyle and/or cultural tips would you share with them? Is there something to be careful about!

This blog will be read by real international students of the CTU who are waiting for any information which might help them feel more at home in the Czech Republic! After some time they will surely give you feedback on your advice!

Thank you for your contribution and we are looking forward to reading your posts!
